In early September I was asked to participate in a 2-day video conference between graduate students at Liepaja University and Riga Technical Institute. My expertise was sought on the topic of qualitative research into distance education. It was a challenging experience for me because the technology was marginal and speakers on the other end spoke heavily accented English which I could barely understand. Here I am listening to a faculty member in Riga arguing a perspective with which I disagreed. Mmm, how to disagree agreeably?!
